Salt Lake City Home Care and Home Health Care

Thursday, May 23, 2013

Nationwide there are 22,000 agencies providing home health care
services. Just in the USA there are so millions of people that have
physical disabilities, chronic health problems, dementia, or terminal
illnesses. This number will continue to grow as the population continues
to get older.  People are healthier, and are living extensive lives.
But, if a time comes when help is needed, Salt Lake Home Health Care is
there to assist and help with home care services. So many seniors in
Salt lake City wish to remain in the home and town that holds so many
memories. Because of this, home care services have evolved in recent
years to make staying home a reality.  What is home care?  Home care is a
non-medical service for people that need assistance with daily life.
Home care is becoming a desired choice for care because it makes it
possible for individuals to stay in their own homes, giving them a sense
of independence, and can also be a lifesaver for family members.  It is
hard for them to do simple things like housekeeping, shopping,
preparing meals, opening a jar, changing a light bulb, or driving to
appointments can become extremely difficult for quite a few older
adults. Intimate tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting
and even moving from the chair the couch can became a great task if you
are alone. Our staff of trained professionals can provide these services
for the person in need. For the most part, SLC Home Health Care
providers are available 24/7. They may work alone or as part of a team,
part-time, hourly, live-in, or on an as-needed basis.

   It is
also important to understand the difference between non medical and
medical home services. Medical home care assistance is provided by
medical personal. They are there on orders from a doctor, and are
usually taken care of by a nurse or CNA (certified nurses aid). These
services are for medical reasons and are usually covered by the
individuals insurance.  Home Health care is different. It is a choice to
use the program and is there to help the people with daily activities
that they struggle with.  These are the types of services that are
available for individuals living at home that Salt Lake City Home Health
Care Services provide.  * Alzheimer's/Dementia Care - It can be hard to
care for someone with any form of Dementia. We have a team with
specialized training that are able to care for those who suffer from
these diseases.  * In Home Companionship - Staying independent at home
doesn't always give quality of life. Sometimes someone is still needed
just to be there to enjoy favorite activities.

   * Fall
Prevention - We work hard to make the living situation safe and worry
free.  * Transportation - We offer around the clock transportation
needs. From the doctors office, a family members home, and even for
leisure activities, our staff will not only drive you, but be by your
side to help with much more.  * Around the Clock 24 Hour Live-in Care -

hour care that works around the clock. Our 24 hour live-in care program
