Differin Acne medication now available as a lotion.

One of lotion formulation of Differin ®, the popular prescription acne treatment, was approved by the u.s. FDA and must be available for prescription in April 2010. Active ingredient adapalene, Differin ®, is a topical retinoid. Retinoids are a category of Dermatology medicine derived from vitamin a. They are a fundamental component of the treatment of acne and also have been shown to be safe and effective for the treatment of psoriasis and skin aging.


Differin ® is available as a gel 0.1%, a 0.1% cream and a 0.3% gel. The new lotion is formulated to efficacy, tolerability and spreads easily. It is available in a convenient pump dispenser, easy to use. Like other retinoids, Differin ® may be prescribed for use alone or in combination with other acne medications, particularly for cases of moderate or severe acne acne.
