Facial acne scars were considered the norm centuries ago and were found primarily in men more so than women. Women can use makeup to cover acne scars, facial, but until a few years ago, it was not socially acceptable for men to wear thick makeup. Today, many actors on stage and television have been able to have a successful career even with facial acne scars when wearing make up or not to hide the scar.
When someone makes fun of or your facial acne scar, is usually the case that they have something they want to hide. Pointing attention to your facial acne scar, they are really trying to stop him from finding the "scars" on them. They are so concerned that they are going to be exposed to light (cellulite, their lies, their evasion or whatever) that they will try to get all distracted by you instead. Most people probably aren't even aware of their facial acne scars unless you mention them. If you have darker skin, this will help mask the valleys of other people's eyes and facial acne scars.

If you think that rationally, there are many things worse than having facial acne scars. Still having cystic acne which caused the scars would be worse. One good thing about severe acne is that it generally will form by the time you're an adult. Regular Acne often never goes away, even in the middle ages. Sometimes, it can be quite fun to watch those who over react on a normal spine when you have facial acne scar.
